Caitlin Smith came to WVCAN as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service to America) in 2011. As a West Virginia native drawn to protect its next generation, she stayed on to direct WVCAN’s medical initiative, WV-CHAMP, improving the state’s medical response to child abuse. Now, as the Program Services Specialist, Caitlin’s leadership ranges from heading up WV-CHAMP to staffing special projects and training. Her greatest passion is for using research, data, and partner collaboration to improve the care for children and their families.
